K9 Angus just wrapped his 6 week foundational obedience program which educated him on how to work with his handlers both on and off leash. We still have a couple handler lessons left to go but the transformation in life together this far has been drastic. Before defining structure - Angus only knew how to interact with humans through constant jumping and biting...wasn’t really malicious, he just didn’t know any other way. That behavior was his default. Through clear communication his handlers can now offer him other avenues for interaction and use markers to reward correct behaviors.
