K9 Aida kicks off her training program this week! This nifty little GSD has tons of drive. Her owner did a fantastic job of laying a great training/working baseline. Our main objective with her is to tighten up and simplify her understanding of positions on and off leash. With all dogs, particularly drivey ones,simplicity and clarity in communication is key...frustration/confusion can create a dog that electively listens and self rewards on opportunities that more more clearly defined to lead to big rewards as opposed to what the handler may be asking dog to do (for example : sprinting deer vs a recall command). #germanshepherd #dogtraining #runyourpack
